Hartlepool Safeguarding Children Board (HSCB) was established in April 2005 as a partnership of local agencies who are working together to safeguard and protect the Children and Young people of Hartlepool.
Established to ensure that all agencies across Hartlepool who have contact and dealings with children and young people work individually and in partnership to safeguard children and promote their welfare in accordance with the Children Act 1989, Children Act 2004 and the LSCB Safeguarding Children Board Regulations 2006.
The key objectives of HSCB ensures the development, monitoring and reviewing of child protection policies, procedure, practice and process issues as well as looking at the wider safeguarding agenda such as road safety, bullying and eSafety, and making sure appropriate multi agency learning and development is available to all Hartlepool's agencies and services for children and young people.
The HSCB is keen to maintain a shared sense of responsibility to keep children safe from harm, across all of the agencies working with children, their families and their communities.
